Special effects makeup - Halloween

Special effects makeup for Halloween - Fake Blood

All you'll need for this special effects makeup is corn syrup, cocoa powder, red and green food coloring, and a mixing bowl, in a few minutes your Fake blood for Halloween will be ready to bleed.
  • Put a little corn syrup in the mixing bowl you have and add 1 or 2 tablespoons of red food coloring. Stir it up until is evenly mixed.
  • Add a drop of green food coloring to the mixture. Don't add more than a tiny bit or you'll end up having green blood, just darken and brown it up a bit. Mix it.
  • Add a bit of cocoa powder. Mix it until you get the desired viscosity. You shouldn't need much, but adding a little extra will make it look more like a scab when it dries.
  • Apply your fake blood into your special effects makeup and go party!

Special effects makeup for Halloween - Pale skin

For those who like vampires looks this is a must do.
  • Take a small container and put in baby powder.
  • Eyeshadow one shade lighter than your skin and dark grey eyeshadow and mix ittogether.
  • Once it's well blended, it should look something like ashes or dust color. Mix it's all, rub it all over your face. Make sure you get your neck, eyelids and ears.
  • Simple and fast!
There's another option for a white pale skin look:
  • 2 tsp white shortening
  • 5 tsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp white all purpose flour
  • 3-4 drops glycerin

Special effects makeup for Halloween - Gross Scab

  • 1/2 TBS corn starch
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1/4 tsp corn syrup
  • 3/4 tsp onion flakes (1 tsp corn flakes or bran flakes will work, too)
  • 1 drop red food coloring
  • 1 drop yellow food coloring
Mix them together and you are ready to go. Clump the mixture onto your skin, keep in mind that the red food coloring will leave a light stain after the scab is removed. As the scab dries, it'll look darker and the clumps will become more prominent.
